School of Creativity

Surlingham School has been granted School of Creativity status by Creative Partnerships. One of only 26 schools from across the country. This award entitles the school to £40,000 funding over two years and gives it a national profile to promote and develop the creative and engaging inquiry curriculum we have been developing at the school and which was recognised by Ofsted as outstanding.
The money is to be spent in three ways. One, to create new and continuing creative learning opportunities for the school’s pupils. Two, to support a network of schools interested in developing their own inquiry curriculum. Three, to communicate the work of the school to a national audience, to participate in and influence the national agenda on curriculum change and development.
